Yes they do, everything is bigger in Texas especially football.

I could see that. I had to drive through a town painted in high school football colors. I live in Denver, CO where high school football is meaningless, but I've been to Texas where you'd think they were NFL teams...

It depends on Texas, I live in Fort Worth and it's not that serious, it's really more in the country like Midland that takes it serious.
