Planned TV Series Should be a Prequel - Alonso's Past!!

I would be totally up for a series based on Alonso's past leading up to the Training Day movie.

Would be interesting to see Alonso as a rookie, possible with a mentor that trains/corrupts him to make him the character that we see in the movie...ofcourse the big problem with this is where do you find an actor thats up to filling Denzel's shoes!!!

His son perhaps? Even though he's not in his league, he's doing an ok job in Ballers. In fact, he would be good as a rookie cop.

So who would play the officer that corrupts alonzo. Would it be set in the past like another time period or eighties or a contemporary prequel like bates motel.

I read the TV show series is gonna take palce 15 years after the events of the film.

So difinetely no prequel.
