Just noted something at the very ending... Was I the only one?

Here's the thing, I just finished watching this movie on tv for like the 5th or 6th time, and only now, literally 15 mins ago, I noticed something weird regarding the ending...

Right after they cut to the final scene, where Hoyt is returning home, you notice a grey Benz parked outside his house. This grey Merc is very, very similar to the one driven by Gursky (Tom Berenger), where earlier on, Alonzo is seen opening the trunk to put the bribe inside. Gursky is the man who fakes the warrant to take Roger (Scott Glenn) out and one of the Three Wise Man who sanction Alonzo's actions. Anyway, just as Hoyt is getting out of the car, you can clearly see through Hoyt's rear windshield someone also exiting the Mercedes...

I only noticed it this time and I'm puzzled, because I don't know what to think... I took some time to search in here for some answers, but didn't really find anything. Any ideas?

There's an alternate ending on the DVD where Gursky and the other 2 confront Hoyt after he pulls into his driveway. Read the Training Day FAQ for the dialogue.

Oh cool, thanks a lot man! That would actually be better than the official ending. I guess a lot of people missed this little detail near the end. It took me a lot of viewings just to catch that bit!

Im pretty sure Berenger's Benz was a sedan an S-class and the one at the end was an ML-clasd SUV with a woman driving. It would appear that she was with the Russians but she drove off with them when they left and helped box Alonza in when they swooped down on him.
