The poor cow got eaten by the crocodile and it was well graphic, it actually made me upset!
And the bear got eaten too =[!
It was well unessecary... the movie in itself was well crap.

Well i dont like seeing animals killed in movies and i didn't. but it's just a movie, it's not like the cow and bear died in real life for the movie, crocs do kill things like this in real life, but i see what your saying. For it being unnecessary , yeah i guess they didn't need it but it adds some "effect" to the movie showing how big the croc is and everything. wasn't too bad. just skip over it.

Ha! I felt bad for the (digital) bear too. The teabag-cow even more cause it was a real one. Was it necessary? Yes. It was amusing seeing a top predator in it's own environment getting eaten by a bigass croc.
And are you for real saying "there is no such thing as a 30ft crocodile and if there was it wouldn't live in a lake!'. These kind of movies aren't supposed to be about reality. Otherwise you should go watch Animal Planet.

Actually, a 30ft crocodile is possible, but rare. The lake had an opening into the sea, which is how the crocodile got in the lake. The old lady fed it, so it stayed there. Most of the crocodiles live in freshwater, and even sharks have lived in lakes.
shareOh come on! They never found a 30 feet croc. The largest ever found was 23.3 feet and saltwater crocs don't linger in lakes.

I didn't say they found one, i said it was possible, but not likely. The crocodile in the movie wasn't a saltwater croc. All the others live in freshwater. The bull shark is well known for inhabiting lakes and rivers, as are its close relatives, the zambezi shark and the ganges shark.

Actually, they haven't. If they had, it would be a record. Are you talking about fossils of prehistoric crocodiles?
shareHe's right though-its not like the shark is born and raised there, but the bull shark is known for looking for food wherever it can get it-so if the food source runs low, they will travel to fresh water such as a river to find more. They also come really really close to the shore-within 3-4 feet sometimes. In fact, about 80% of the shark attacks you hear about are with bull sharks.

The bear-getting-eating scene came as a total surprise to me, making me almost jump out of my seat. I actually did feel for the digital bear, imagining the surprise that would probably befall a real bear in such a situation. The scene is a bit too graphic for my tastes, but it is, without a doubt, the most memorable in the entire film.

I liked the bear scene but it certainly wasn't a surprise. As soon as I saw the bear I knew what was going to happen. Everyone I watched it with made the same comment. It certainly wasn't graphic. The deputy getting his head bit off was graphic but people seem to care more about animals these days than they do people. Even CGI ones lol.

I just want to say, there are no wild brown bears in Maine. Black bears? Yes. Brown bears? No. So, even though I don't feel bad about the bear, I think the characters should have. They made such a big deal about how the croc should be kept alive due to its remarkable migration. Why not the bear's, which would have been from Canada. (I know it's not ASIA, but still...) Instead, Bridget Fonda laughs at "the look on that bear's face."

It has a cream muzzle, its a 'black' bear. They can come in several colours depending on their genetics and to a degree where they are geographically. Their small size, aboreal nature and that creamy muzzle give them away from brown bears.

Don't be ridiculous. There are no brown bears or brown-colored black bears in Maine. Maine black bears are black (you have to go out west to find brown-colored black bears) and they don't get anywhere near as big as the bear in this movie. Most Maine black bears don't exceed 350 pounds. The brown bear in this movie looked to be around 1,000 pounds.
Also, Maine black bears are timid; they aren't aggressive toward humans. There's never been a fatal bear attack in Maine's recorded history, and I'd be surprised if you could find documentation of any bear attack in Maine at all, and if you did it would be for obvious reasons (cornered, wounded, or protecting its young; most any animal will attack under those circumstances). The idea of a wild Maine black bear running at a GROUP of people and rearing up on its hind legs and roaring is utterly laughable.
I guess the f'ing people getting munched didn't bother you? What an a-hole.
