I know the story was fiction but I am confused on something. If the blonde haired girl got burned 2 years ago in a fire, then how come she was beautiful? That is until after she applied makeup on the dark haired girl. I don't get it.
That one is kinda weird. I think their explanation was something like, her having one magic day of regaining her outward beauty, and using it to transfer some of that to the "plain Jane" who also really just needed to let her inner beauty shine through...and then the blonde returned to her burned state, after having used her gift to change someone else's perspective/life.
It always reminded me a little bit of The Tale of the Vacant Lot from Are You Afraid of the Dark? (or, sort of the reverse of it.) There are actually quite a few stories from both shows that remind me of ones from the other. xD
Ah, me too! They're two of my favorites ever! Okay, well, I guess these are a few of the more obvious ones. Oftentimes things get connected in my mind due to a similar theme or setting or a particular element. Both shows are also inextricably intertwined with the Scary Stories to Tell in the Dark books, Goosebumps, Tales From the Darkside, and other favorite creepy anthologies of mine. ^^

Sorry this is so late, I was just watching AAOTD yesterday and watched The Tale Of The Ghastly Grinner and instantly thought of Creepy Comics. Very cool. I'll have to check the others out to compare. Thanks :)
