Really? Who told you this? Sounds like they were lying because Robert Tralins did first account research on the factual stories.
Of course, who knows?
Sometimes urban legends are spread around so much they become "fact." ξ

I read the same thing somewhere. Now it makes you wonder how many of the stories labeled fact were actually true.
