Can anyone tell me if they know the true facts in the first season, first episode of Beyond Belief: Fact or Fiction segment, "Number One with a Bullet", in thar segment a hardworking wife comes home early to surprise her cop husband with a trip to Paris, but finds her husband cheating on her with one of his trainees and orders them out, pulling his gun on him both struggle over the gun and the wife dies. The wife's co-worker/friend angry at the husband fires a gun at him but it misses and hits a tree. Years later the husband now married to the mistress is cutting that tree down and cuts into where the bullet was and dies from a shot to the chest.

At the end of the segment it was revealed that the story was true, based on facts. Does anyone know of the true story behind it?
