I love Pi and Memento. Hard to choose between, I really love Pi but most people will no doubt think Memento is a better film so I'd see that first.

I haven't seen adaptation.

Thinking about it I did see Memento in the cinema and it was a few years later I first saw Pi. That worked OK for me. :)

I loved Adaptation and I found what I saw of Momento (it was late and I kept drifting off) interesting and I'm going to try to watch it in its entirety soon because that seems to be the only way to watch a film, especially a film like Momento. I watched about 5 minutes of Pi but I felt my mind was not in the right place to watch a movie like this. I ended up watching American Psycho, lol.

Nice thread. Those are three of my favorite films.

Generally, I would go advise maybe: Pi -> Memento -> Adaptation
But for me I could see Memento before, in the middle, and afterwards also, because I don't get tired from that movie :D

same here, usually my tolerance is very high but i completed this movie with great difficulty...tried to imitate 'ERASERHEAD' alot but it was a great movie..

Your post made me smile, 3 great movies on my shelf all in one post :) I was most intrigued by Memento, I had heard about it and seen the trailer and was very excited to watch it, and it turned out to be amazing. Best line, "Okay so what am I doing? Oh I'm chasing this guy...No, he's chasing me."

If I had not seen any of them which would be my first to watch? Would it matter?
Is your real question ,"Whose advice would you take on which to watch first". As a matter of fact I own and have seen all three on numerous occasions. If you are asking which of the three I most enjoy I would say "Memento" - just something about Christopher Nolan.

Only two things are actually knowable:
It is now and you are here. All else is merely a belief.

I found Adaptation the most enjoyable and memorable. You learn a fair bit about orchids and the Chris Cooper character is very memorable, as well as the two brothers.
