This is my 2nd try - I still can't watch it.

I can sit through movies. I absolutely love RfaD. I have tried to watch Pi, however, once before, about a year ago. I couldn't get through 10 minutes.

This time I tried to get into it, I really did. But the ants, the "computer", and the horrible ("artsy"?) quality of the video that made it hard to see what was happening in the night scenes...

Plus, the music, really? Everyone I've seen praises the use of music. What I heard lasted 3 seconds each and was put so far into the background I couldn't tell there was music. I did hear a Massive Attack song, Angel, and I love that band - but it was, again, a 3 second snippet.

I don't know why, maybe you can help me.

But this movie just does not draw me in, does not get me interested, does not look good, does not sound good, I don't like any of the characters for any of their roles, I don't like the plot (although I like the concept), etc.

All in all, I haven't been this non enthusiastic about a movie in a very, very long time - after trying to watch it twice.

Are you sure your sound plug is in? Or that the DVD is in good quality? This movie has like three montages of techno and stuff. I think you should try watching it on a different DVD.

I agree...it's a hard movie to sit through. Really disjointed plot that does not really make any sense, underdeveloped characters....

The whole number theory thing is what holds it all together (barely). I think the movie has a great concept, but could've been done SO much better.

Just my opinion.

The budget was only $60,000? Wow.

Maybe if they cut back on some of the special effects, they could've made the story better.

There are a lot of indie movies with tiny budgets that are great. Too bad for this one.

IMO it's an extremely unpleasant movie.

It has the ability to draw you in, and the subject matter can be considered interesting. It also has many elements that a thriller would have.

Nevertheless, movies like this generally aren't very appealing. They can be endured, but often times you find yourself just wanting to get through it so you can put it behind you as quickly as possible.
