"Freddy Got Fingered"??? You've got to be kidding. I heard that was one of the worst films of all time.
Schrodinger's cat walks into a bar, or doesn't.
Freddy Got Fingered is something ou have to watch for yourself. It's one of those movies you'll either get and give 10, or hate and wish it was never made. My sense of humor jumped off a bridge long ago, it died. Later it was res-erect-ed and found it's way back to my heart through using the door that is my anus to enter. So I enjoy humor way more than most, way more.
I can't even talk about Freddy Got Fingered without losing my *beep* laughing and if others up on their high and mighty pretentious walls wish to judge and tell me to grow up or stop watching garbage or whatever, great, maybe one day they'll go the ay of humpty dumpty before their sense of self and humor gets a res-erect-ion too and they can join me in my high court yard where buds grow big.
If ou enjoy Grandma's Boy, Strange Wilderness or a slew of other related films, Freddy Got Fingered is definitely worth checking out.
*Note, if you had a hard childhood without a dad or he was abusive, etc. Then there's a pretty good chance you will never get this movie. I also find most people in the Baby Boomer era just 'miss the point' of having a laugh. Either way, I'd urge you to watch it before suggesting I'm kidding because someone told you it was nonsense. But meh, it'll either do it for you or it won't.
It's top of my worst movies ever list. Even movies i don't enjoy i can usually understand why other people like them, but this was just a mess. Great idea for a story but not executed well at all.
I felt sorry for you that you didn't understand it. Then I went and had a look at your ratings. You give 99% of things a 10. Like 'Now You See Me' a 10. 'Bastard Executioner' a 10 after what, like 4 episodes...smh in puzzlement....
Then you give Pi a 1. You even gave Scary Movie 5 a 2.
What don't you understand about Pi? Does the music put you off? The black and white? The lack of understanding what you're witnessing? The math? The paranoia make it uncomfortable to watch?
What don't you understand about the film?
How old are you?
Do you have any problems health or physical wise, like vision impairment requiring glasses, mental health problems requiring medication, physical ailments needing prosthetics, etc?
I'm not saying your ratings are wrong, but giving 99% of things a 10 and then movies like this a 1, well you're the sort of mind I further wish to understand the logic and reasoning behind this extreme view. More so the mind behind someone who doesn't get a masterpiece like Pi.
If you would be willing to engage in conversation about it, I've seen you post in multiple threads on Pi that you didn't like/get it. Well I'd be willing to engage your mind in thoughtful discussion :)
1. Days of Heaven
2. Pi
3. A Clockwork Orange
4. Bronson
5. Love Exposure
Glad to see this film is getting so much love from you guys.I thought it was phenomenal, and it's heavily underrated. It was so well directed and extremely intense, actually painful at times, but it was amazing!
shareI'm in the "I don't get the love for this movie" camp. On top of that, I lived in New York City for 7 years and I'm a math guy - I understand that mathematics wasn't the central theme in the movie. To me, the low production value doesn't have it's charms. It wasn't terrifying or disturbing or even very thought provoking. I found myself thinking more about the Indian/Pakistani neighbor than anything else and was relieved that it was under 90 minutes in running time.
I liked the Wrestler and Black Swan far more. For those of you who put this in your top 5, I promise I can knock Pi down your list with some suggestions.
It's all subjective.
shareA long time ago Marcel Proust made a very good point. Don't just say that something is good, great, bad or whatever, but also say why, because this gives a remark meaning and makes it unique to you.
