You know when all the girls are at the poolside of Marilyn's friend and one of them chokes on her drink? It's one of the funniest things I've ever seen, I rewound it and watched it again countless times (and am still laughing now when I think about it) but I don't get what it was all about??

Just before another one of them is talking about how she would like to catch her husband cheating but can't because he's so careful, is that part of it? It was never explained and just seemed so totally random I wondered if anyone else had wondered

It implied that the woman who choked on the Ice was cheating on the other woman's husband.

it is implied that the woman who choked on the drink was the one who was having an affair with that certain woman's husband.

No. She chokes because she is nervous about being found out as "the other" woman.
If you notice, she immediately changes the subject also.

Hi Lester. There is a scene near a Swimming pool about one third into the movie where it happens.
