to me this movie is up there with the evil dead trilogy and friday the 13th
shareAgreed. One of the best horror comedies EVER, not just of recent memory. One of those few that actually gets BETTER with each viewing... just wish I get a widescreen copy of the movie... other than that no complaints, love this flick...

Should take a "vote" on whether this IS considered a Cult Classic or not!
My 15 year old son is becoming more & more of a HORROR film buff and is BIG on the internet (I'm use IMDB almost exclusively and don't have time for a million other websites)...
I had some of the soundtrack on the other day (I love that song Caitlin by Unwritten Law) & I said something about Idle Hands being a "cult classic"...in comes Mr Internet source...Although the likes of Nightmare On Elm Stree, Friday the 13th & Evil Dead ARE indeed "cult classics", he feels Idle Hands doesn't have enough of a following to be considered a "cult classic". I told him it currently has a "cult following" & was rediscovered later after its box office failure, but unsure what the definition of "cult CLASSIC" is....
Its a ME cult classic for sure! lol
EDIT: Seems Wikipedia has it LISTED AS ONE! BOOM! I can't wait to rub this in my son's face! hahahahaha
