The start of the movie?

I only watched this movie twice and I'm watching it for my third time. But by watching the start, I don't get a couple of things.

* How comes Anton doesn't know that he (kinda) killed his parents, I mean how comes he doesn't realize his hand is poccessed until his finds out his parents are dead?

* Since Anton's hand is poccessed, is it only poccessed because the evil has passed onto him after the evil poccessed other people or has the evil poccessed his hand the whole time?

1) It’s quite possible that Anton was asleep when his hand killed his parents.

2) The evil looks for ‘the laziest fuck-up it can find’ as a vessel, it jumps from person to person as it pleases. It had possessed the guy in prison but Debbie ‘missed it again’ because it had now jumped to Anton.
