A short note for fans irate about 1998 awards ceremonies.

SiL is one of a handful of successful and hilariously satirical films of the last 50 years, thoroughly deserving of all the awards and attention it has received.

If you're not of an open-minded disposition or are one of those people who thinks Shakespeare is overrated, it's best to let SiL's wit and acuity fly harmlessly over your head just as nature intended.

However, if you feel you absolutely have to stop by here and make a feature of your lack of understanding, by all means do. Try not to start a new thread every time though. And look out for the SiL regulars who drop by every now and then to hand some idiot his ass.

We've had 18 years of it and we're used to it.

Well, there's now a fully staged production in the Sam Wanamaker Playhouse (the Globe's indoor space, for those not familiar). Going next month with some chums, hooray. So we could still apply the mouse!

Oh yes, the last four in the house, practically, dodging around one of the pillars. You don't go there to be comfy, either physically or dramatically, I reckon.
