The scene where Brooke was calling Michael from a pay phone and suddenly Cheryl showed up(special close-up scene, so they can show anything in next frame to shock us), I knew that very moment that this movie is screwed, and when Brooke died, I figured out what's end gonna be. Seriously, this one is more predictable than any thriller or even horror movies these days.

Hmmm anyone I've showed this film to was surprised by the ending. Because it wasn't typical.
Sometimes the writers are damned either way.

i too was surprised - the writers took a risk, and the risk is memorable and results in a big jaw-drop wow factor.
