in the story, melody sells perfume by asking questions about the person its for... i've never bought perfume before so i really don't know, does anyone actually do that? i need to buy some perfume & i have absolutly no idea what to get.
share I actually have no idea if anyone really sells perfume the way Melody does... it wouldn't suprise me, but I've never given it any thought before... I don't think I'd hold out too much hope of finding a Melody Parris to help you pick out perfume for someone... although I'm sure an experienced cosmetics/frangrance salesperson will be able to help you make a good choice.

I know they do it in Barney's in Manhattan. I don't know about everywhere else though.

shareI think it is a cool idea. I personally have no idea how to select perfume for myself or others. Of course now I avoid it at all costs. Due to my chronic illnesses I'm sensitive to chemical smells and perfume gives me bad headaches and makes me feel sick. I now use essential oils which are a natural scent.
