Just realize this is a James Spader film

Honestly, if you go back and watch all of the movies and T.V. shows he has been in, Stargate is the most down-to-earth one. All the others have sex, and murder, and indescriminate violence. Don't get me wrong, I love the guy; he is in my top 10 list of actors, and I do love his films. Supernova was very, very, insanely weird, but I liked it.

"Baby Boom" was almost devoid of sex, and I don't recall any violence. "Stargate" was very violent for a PG film (that is the UK rating).

I said ALMOST all of his films. And Baby Boom did not have Spader as a lead role.

Maybe you forgot to type the bit about "almost" and "main role"? I made a list (posted on his board) of all the films he was in where he didn't have sex. I don't think anyone replied, but it is still somewhere on the board.

Anyway, not to quibble. Happy New Year. I am very fond of "Stargate", but not so much all the fighting bits. No offence to Jaye Davidson as Ra, but I liked it better before Ra came along.
