What's up with that trailer????

i saw the DVD of this movie and saw the trailer and c'mon man.......the trailer makes you believe this is a space adventure like Truckers in Space or something like that........It really shows that they did not knew how to market this movie...
The deleted scenes were Awsome....Ford Coppola sucks!!!!!
P.S. Can aybody tell me what is the name of that song used in the trailer...the Oldies one (Not the Shrek song)

"Mama told me (not to come)" by Three Dog Night...totally didn't need to be in the trailer...didn't work at all!!!

I actually really liked the trailer. The Three Dog Night song gave it a nice funky vibe. The incongruity of the music choice made the movie look fun and original. That the actual movie bore no resemblance to the style of the trailer was quite disappointing to me when I finally saw it.

"If you can't stand the heat, get out of the universe." Sounds like the tagline for the next Pixar In Space movie.

"There's a fine line between a felony and doing something really super awesome."

Here's the trailer if anyone is interested:

Seriously, I hope the guy that did that trailer is no longer working. What was he thinking?? I've seen trailers that are slightly misleading to pique interest before, but wow! I don't think this guy had a clue what this movie was about. How the producers(or whoever was in charge) didn't see that and laugh thinking it was a joke is beyond me. Good grief!

I think it was deliberate.

Um...trailers are made to get people into the theater when the movie comes out...no matter what. A bad trailer editor is someone who cuts a trailer that shows something no one wants to see...it has nothing to do with whether it reflects what the movie's really about or not. Duh. It's called marketing, not storytelling.

"Last survivor of the Nostromo...signing off..."

NOw I've seen the trailer again and have to think of Guardians of the Galaxy...NO?
