Good Lord...seeing him in this movie and the way he looks now is night and day...He went from ripped and young....(fast forward 12 years later) to old, balding and fat(just watch the Office).......

shareYeah. I know. When I made this thread Spader was on the office and looked really over weight, etc. However seeing him on the Black List now, I would have never made this post. He looks to be in great shape now.

Do people not realise that James Spader is now 55 years old? Physicality is all downhill from about 27-30 years old for males... Give the guy a break!!

This movie is on "Showtime Beyond" right now, I've seen it before probably five years ago now. But when I first watched it, I too did not realize it was James Spader. I kept asking "who is this guy and why does he sound/look familiar?!" and then finally I realized it was him. He was freaking JACKED in the movie, he looked awesome! James Spader was in good shape most of his career but in this movie in particular he was ripped!
Anyway, I gotta agree with the majority here - James Spader looks like CRAP now. I've always appreciated him for his good acting and wide career of movies/roles. I was a big fan of his actually especially on Boston Legal. But man, when he went to "The Office", it was like a complete 180. I actually hated him on there, and hated looking at him. He just looked like death. Thinning hair, bloating/massive weight gain.
I will always appreciate him as an actor but he needs to get a grip on his health. I understand balding is something no man can control but his body weight, he looks awful. He is going the route "Tom Hanks" did and he is going to wind up with diabetes or something worse if he doesn't get back into shape very soon.
Maybe for some guys but usually men still look pretty good in their 40's. Especially movie stars.
shareI'm watching this for the fist time in probably 10 years and I had forgotten how good James used to look. He was really hot in this movie. I know he's in his 50's now but his looks really went downhill. He's still an awesome actor though.
Oh my God! James Spader was HOT in this movie! Smokin' Hot. I thought that I was the only one that noticed how he let himself go. What in the heck HAPPENED to him?! I see him in The Blacklist now and it's like he's a completely different person. Man, what a shame.
