I actually watched this film in the theatre. Anywho.. watched the movie for like half and hour and did not realize this was James Spader. Was it just me? His jet black hair and dark eyes. And damn, his body was soooo cut! I always thought he was attractive (esp. White Palace), but he was so freakin' hot in this film. Which was good since the movie tanked anyway.
Now back to searching for Grand Unification Theory...
Not at all - He looked JUST like he looked, in "Wolf" ten years earlier, with Jack Nicholson! To me it looked like he hadn't aged a day. I know he's fatter now, but hes still alright. The character he plays in Stargate, he did that very well, in Wolf he is this ferocious guy that Nicholson hasta kill, in Stargate, hes a noseblowin "dweeb" as put by Kurt Russel.
When I saw him last night in this movie on Netflix, I was like "Damn! When was James Spader so *beep* hot!" His hair and his icy stare- nothing compares! And *beep* his body was amazing, too. I was a huge Boston Legal fan so I was used to seeing the short and pudgy Alan Shore. I saw Supernova and I was like, oh hell noooo
"Wish not so much to live long as to live well." -Ben Franklin
When Spader first joined Boston Legal, he WAS FIT. Over the 5+ years the show aired, he gained weight. My guess, perhaps having a rather over-weight William Shatner is the cause... because for a few years, I didn't watch the show, then the last year was like...WOOOOW! you gained weight. Looking at a View Video from a year ago, he's looking like he's lost some weight.
He's now 50years old... So when he did Super Nova, Crash, Secretary was when he was 35~42years old. All that is required is to work out, eat well. I've gained some weight, but losing just about 20lbs... just 20lbs means I look like I'm 26~30yrs old... yet, I'm 40. This allows me to date girls in their early 20s easily. Considering that I'm more fit and stronger than the avg. man, it helps :)
He made another movie with Robin Tunney called "Shadow of Fear" in 2004 and that's why I didn't recognize him first in this movie because he looks SO much younger and fitter. But 4 year don't let you age like that do they? So when was this orginally filmed?
I watched the whole movie on "This" and kept thinking who is that guy? Sometimes he looks like Jame Spader. Let this be a lesson for all: Don't keep eating carbs and sugar when you grow up cuase you'll be growing up and OUT!
Yeah his physique in this movie inspires me alot. Been working out for 3 years so I unconsciously just know what actors are usually lean, regular, fat or built. Having seen most of his movies seeing him in this I was like o.O? Is that really James Spader??? He never looked like that before or after this movie. Was probably shot around 1995 or so? Man I don't understand how if he could get himself looking like that why he wouldn't maintain that physique. He was only in his early 40's when he got fat and isn't even too old now.
wow..looks like everyone is on the same page here then ! JUST watched this last night on Netflix and was blown away at how amazing James Spader looked, and I'm a married GUY. This can't have been filmed in 200, released maybe, but not made. Must have been filmed mid 90's at least. He looks nothing like that now, thats for damn sure! Robin Tunney is BEAUTIFUL.
..not only him, also Peter Facinelli looked way different and hotter than he does now. I knew he was familiar but it took me quite a while to find out why.
He buffed up for this like Keanu Reeves did for Speed, he could have made a decent action star if he wanted. At times in this movie he sounded like Jack Bauer and kicked ass too.
