Is a total Jerk!
He was always really nice and sweet on the show. In this movie for some reason he is a total jaggoff!

awwww. leave him alone. he was just tired of joey and wheels joking him for being a virgin. joey was the real jerk in this movie, playing two girls the way he did.

Yeah and then after Joey had realised he made a mistake Snake screwed him over and told Caitlin!
Snake wasn't the same person as the show... he was a JERK in this movie!
Yeah snake was not the same character at all. It was like they gave him an evil twin
shareThey definately made Snake different!!! I thought it seemed that way for most of the characters. Like Joey for example, his character was always immature and mischievous, but he would have never went so far as to hurt someone the way he did!!! In the movie he was a straight up pig! I kind of wish I had never seen it at all...
shareI don't think Joey realised he made a mistake as such. He didn't seem to care and he certainly had no remorse. He just wanted to keep it a secret from Caitlin so that HE wouldn't get in trouble. Even after she found out, he was blaming her and Tessa for his cheating "you were busy, she was there...she asked me out." It didn't seem like he realised that he had a part in it. Yes Caitlin was busy, but that's no excuse to sleep with another girl. And just because Tessa asked him out doesn't mean he has to say yes.
Snake also didn't tell Caitlin exactly. He had no idea she was in the room until after he had said it. He was reminding Joey of what "high standards" he seemed to have and why he was pissed off at him. He was pissed that he hadn't had any sex, but I think it was more to do with him having morals, and being mad at Joey for not caring. Yes he did say to Joey "be careful because I could say a couple of things that Caitlin would find very interesting", but I think that was because he knew the whole thing was wrong. Throughout the movie he kept telling Joey to break up with one of the girls. He knew cheating on Caitlin was wrong and felt that it wasn't fair on her to be kept in the dark on her "fiance's" secret.
I love you Stacy but that's crap. Snake knew damn well what he was doing. He got upset and said things that best friends just don't say, total jerk! Who is Snake anyway, the morality police? Joey had two girls and Snake couldn't even get one. He was jealous.
There's this metal thing and it helps it to spin. It's spinning from the metal.
Turnerp - so you're saying that if you had a friend who was engaged but was sleeping with another girl on the side because his fiancee was busy and wouldn't put out, that it's best if she doesn't ever find out? Maybe it's because I am married myself, but if my husband was doing the dirty on me and his best mate knew about it, I'd want him to tell me, regardless of their friendship. I would be pissed if I found out people knew I was being cheated on and never said anything. I wouldn't want anyone to willingly let me be with a person who obviously has no respect for me. Just because you are best friends doesn't mean you have to have the same beliefs. And as for the "morality police" - throughout DJH and DH Snake was the one who always the more sensible one. Joey very rarely cared about the consequences of any of his actions.
I still maintain that it didn't matter whether Snake said anything or not. Joey didn't feel that he was to blame. He blamed Caitlin for being too busy and not putting out. He also blamed Tessa for asking him out, even though he gave her the wrong idea in the first place. He had plenty of other options he could have taken rather than cheating. He could have dumped Caitlin or just waited for her until she was ready. And he could have told Tessa no, or told her later on that he and Caitlin decided to give things another try. I doubt Tessa would have willingly slept with Joey knowing he was engaged. But Joey convinced himself that he had every rights to do what he did, that it was both girls' faults in some way or another.
To be honest though - I loved the Zits in Degrassi, but all 3 became unlikable in School's Out.
Stacy - I'm not saying Joey should have lied to Catlin, I'm not saying Snake should cover for him either. Snake should have stayed out of it, that was between Joey and Catlin. I mean, should Catlin be mad at Snake for not telling her? No way! If I was Snake, I would ask him to keep me out of it. Joey you're my friend but Catlin's my friend too! Don't drag me into your mess, because that's not fair! That's all Snake had to say, but no, he flies off the handle and "accidentally" spills the beans. Remember the time Snake got caught under-age drinking? Or the time he let Joey drive his parents car? Snake has had his share of bad situations.
Now I agree that Joey could have handled things better. Like being honest with Catlin for example. But how did Joey give Tessa the wrong idea? She kissed him in the car out of nowhere! Yes Joey could have stopped things, but why are we making Tessa seem like a victim???
There's this metal thing and it helps it to spin. It's spinning from the metal.
I see your point now . However I would still be angry to know that someone I also considered a friend knew the whole time and didn't tell me. I guess that if Snake was *really* concerned with Caitlin's feelings he could have told her personally instead of the way he did. I agree with you there that he went the wrong way about it. And I forgot about the drinking episode. You're right there - Snake did voluntarily drink the beer. I don't fully agree about the car episode though. He kept telling Joey no, and was against it. He didn't want Joey taking the car. The only reason he agreed was that Wheels pressured him it so that he wouldn't miss his dentist appointment.
I also agree that Tessa isn't a total victim. She just assumed that by "having problems" that they'd broken up, and did kiss Joey first. However Joey didn't set things straight with her when she came in to the store to ask him out. Instead of saying to her "I am still with Caitlin", he made it seem that they had broken up and he was a free man so to speak.
Oh well, if Joey did tell her the truth in the first place then it would have been a pretty boring movie, right!
Snake was totally manic depressive in this movie! I guess he never really bounced back from finding Dead Claude. Hahaha.

He didn't even mean to tell Caitlin, she snuck up behind them. I really dont think he had any idea, partly because he didn't see her and also because he was a dumbass in this movie
The world is a vampire, sent to drain...
Why all the hate for Snake?
He done nothing wrong, remember it was Joey who played to girls at once, and Wheels who started the fight, drove drunk and crashed.
It's All Gushy!
I never saw him as a jerk in the movie. I saw him as frustrated and feeling left behind. I mean his buddies were all having sex and he wasn't and they were giving him a hard time about it. He was working as a lifeguard, feeling dorky but doing the responsible thing while the other two were messing things up with seemingly no consequences and gloating about it (particularly Joey).
I think his outburst happened when he had finally gotten fed up. He was calling his buddy out on bad behaviour, which is actually a good thing for a friend to do - and he had no clue Caitlin had come into the room.
I think Snake has an interesting and understated character arc in the movie. He spends so much of the time waiting to use his lifeguarding skills to attract someone and when he finally does have to save someone, you can tell that he figures out that it's really not the romantic dream it was cracked up to be. His growth is not so dramatic but pretty realistic as well all have moments around that age where we dream of something happening and when it actually does, it leaves us kind of disillusioned.
Of course his moment is overshadowed by the hideous car accident and stays understated - which tends to happen in real life too.
He was a jerk for most of the movie.
