How come Michelle wasn't at Alexa's wedding?

I wonder if Michelle and Alexa's friendship drifted apart, because she wasn't at the wedding, and they used to be best of friends at Degrassi, anyone else notice this?

Good point! I think they might have been using the excuse that some of the kids missing from the wedding were probably away at school and couldn't make it.

I agree Cancerian. Speaking of which, am I the only one who thought it was odd that when Snake talked to Joey at the reception, he mentioned that he and his new girlfriend were going to be there for the entire following week? The wedding was mid/late October, and likely a weekend. So two freshman college kids can miss an entire week of classes smack dab in the middle of their first semester? That's a lot of class time in the college world! Not to mention a lot to arrange since meeting what, 6-8 weeks earlier, tops?

Some colleges have what's called a Fall Break (unfortunately mine didn't), so that's one possible explanation.

Never heard of it, but it would have been nice in my college days! I only know of spring break.

I also considered maybe Canadian colleges run on different calendars. And I also knew one girl who went to a college in Minnesota that did trimesters then a month off between, that started in mid-August I think, so she'd have been done by mid October. But I don't think I've heard of that type of schedule otherwise...at the very least it's not too common.

I'm Canadian and we do have a fall break in October in college ;)

I'm in Ontario, and live in a city with two universities in town and about a dozen within a two hour drive. Around here, Frosh (first year) Orientation week starts the day after Labour Day, and there's no "Fall Break." Our Thanksgiving is the first Monday in October, so a lot of students would be going home for that, but not for a second event later in the month. The first semester classes usually end the first week of December, then it's exams until around December 21.
The second semester starts the first week of January, and there's a "Reading Week" at the end of February, instead of "Spring Break" like U.S. schools have. The winter semester ends around the first week of April, then there are a couple of weeks of exams and the semester ends in late April (again, usually around the 21 or so).

not only did she miss the wedding. her and Snake started dating on the last episode of Degrassi High but Snake is single with no prospects in School's Out.

And then didn’t they announce at the end of that last episode before Schools Out that the kids would be split up into different schools? Seems like the majority of them stayed together in that graduation scene
Well, the characters they thought were important I guess
