In the very first scene Katie Holmes ... (spoilers)
... is killed. Then she's back - not as a Blue Ribbon but her bad self. I don't see that it was ever explained how that happened. Makes no sense.
shareThat wasn't Katie Holmes in the first scene. She doesn't appear until about 20 minutes into the movie. The actress in the first scene is Natassia Malthe and the character's name is Mary Jo - her name is mentioned throughout that first scene as well as later on when Steve and Gavin are discussing the murder; I honestly don't know how you could have confused the two unless you genuinely weren't paying attention.

shareI know I'm 3 months late replying to this so I apologise for that. And I also apologise if I seemed rude in my previous reply (I have a bad tendency to sometimes be very blunt when I'm just typing things). It's probably because I'd seen the movie relatively recently and remembered the two actresses not really looking all that similar so I was genuinely confused at how someone could get them mixed up with each other. In any case, re-reading my response I think I came off sounding a little mean so I'm very sorry for that.
