I had the misfortune of seeing this awful movie last night. The movie, featuring pot-headed anti-jock, anti-intellectual, and anti-community rhetoric, created a fantastic premise and then totally destroyed it. It had so much potential and it just ended up being another teen film of adults vs teens.
The only thing worth watching was Katie Holmes and it's good to see that her career wasn't irrevocably tarnished by this crud, as another reviewer so aptly put it.
lol... This movie wasn't very good, but I enjoyed it still. I thought it was pretty funny most of the time. I loved Gavin... I wish he hadn't lost that pistol... DAMM YOU STEVE!!!!!
PS: Your right, Katie Holmes did make this movie alot better.
It is an awful film, but I think it's one of thopse awful films you can sit and watch regardless because it's undenibly entertaining!
shareok i know i will be made fun of because of this but i would put this movie very very high on my favorite movie list. And this is why we all go through a part in our life where we think everyone is against us. this movie exploits that thought and does it well. i thought the acting was great. The songs were awesome. All in all I love this movie. Go ahead I know I am know going to see post like dude you are stupid and what are you thinking but I do not care because I have my opinion and you have yours
shareThe movie is badly executed, but touches many themes with the teenager mind that probably ring with many of us: Love/hate relationship with your family, desire for adventure and mistery, wanting to fit while being unique, paranoia, feeling of opression by the authorities, fear of what you'll become when you grow up... The movie just turns into a standard and cliched horror adventure, but these themes make you watch it while want it to become better in the next scene.
