I don't get it
I didn't really see the whole movie yet but they say that gavin dies in the movie and he's at the end with a new identity or something
sharei dont remember them saying that gavin dies, i think if anything they just assume he did because they think all of the blue ribbons jumped on the car and went over the cliff...but obviously he didnt and so got away.

shareIf you watch the DVD deleted scenes, in the alternate ending, Gavin appears on the ferry, getting ready to kill everyone for taking the Blue Ribbons away from him, but then he gets shot by UV and for the few moments between shots and death, he became the old Gavin again.

shareHe became himself again? OMG, that's so sad! I have mixed feelings; that alternate ending was awesomely moving, but at the same time I wanted Gavin to live so I'm not sure I could choose.

Yeah, the ending that the movie has now was meant to hint at a sequel; that was mentioned earlier in this thread. When I said that Gavin became himself again, I meant in the alternate ending before he died.
shareI have the dvd with the deleted scenes and I really think that the alternate ending was much better than what they have for the ending. In the alternate ending Gavin tells UV. "You shot me three times." or something like that, of course I'm just remembering off the top of my head. I think they should of kept the alternate ending instead of what they used for the ending. Just my opinion of course.
