Imagination in movies is what makes a movie apeal to people... perhaps it was over the top but you have to look at the POINT of the movie. Also not trying to undermind your oppinion but saying that having "imagination running away without any hopes of ever returning" is a bad thing... why watch movies at all. The purpose of a movie is to do just that, to let you for that 1 to 3 hours go to a diffrent place where you can feel like anything is possible...
and finally, if it left you thinking I doubt that it was completly "an utterly CRAP movie" as you put it, because if I had just seen a movie that I thought was dispicable I wouldn't take the time to write and tell people.
Preach! Movie critics are such party-poopers. I loved this movie. Unrealness and all.
