Alternate Ending
I was just wondering. What was the alternate ending? What happens to the character Gavin?

He is not affected by the E-rat-acator, because he is wearing his headphones. He comfronts Steve and his group on the ferry. He tries to shoot Steve with a shotgun and UV shoots him three times with the his own gun that Steve took away from him. Gavin dies. Everyone lives happily ever after until the sequel...which never came. I haven't given up hope yet. Stranger things have happened. I hope that this helps.

I heard Nick Stahl say something about how he dies in almost every movie he's in, but the only reason he didn't in disturbing behavior was because they wanted to leave room for a sequel.
die young and save yourself
Wow. The alternate ending sounds so much better than the one that was used instead.
If the producers still wanted to leave room for a sequel, they could have had the character of Lorna Longley appear as the 'student teacher' (she's the girl who headbutts the mirror and then attacks James Marston).
I don't think Lorna appears in the movie's climatic scene (unless some eagle-eyed viewer knows better), which means that the last we see of her is in the hospital, when Dr. Coldicutt says that her chip has burnt out and needs replacing.
She could have been recovering from this operation and therefore avoided perishing with the rest of the Blue Ribbons.
That's how I would have ended the film.
so he wasn't affected in the alternat ending? how about all the scenes where he was hanging with that group? was he faking it or did those not happen? also, in that ending it ends happy then right? everyone bad is dead? i think the one they used leaves it more open for a sequel.
shareIn the alternate ending he dies, but in the regular ending he doesn't because they wanted to leave room open for a sequel. I don't know what group your talking about but if you mean the blue ribbons he wasn't faking it, he really got the chip put in his eye, so its not all a happy ending because someone's still alive that has the thing in their eye.
die young and save yourself
thanks! I meant in the alternate ending. It says that he stood up to the bad people in the end and got killed. So does that mean that he didn't have the chip or he did but ending up fighting against them in the end? Thanks!
shareNo problem, yea he had the chip and he stood up for the bad people not to them, and then U.V shot him when Gavin was about to shoot Steve.
die young and save yourself
i gotcha. so he had the chip and he didn't turn good at the end. he was gonna kill one of the good guys and then got killed himself?
shareyea, he got shot by the toast guy...U.V
die young and save yourself
thanks!
shareno problem

Forgive me but I only recently saw the film DISTURBING BEHAVIOR,
Okay, if the alternate ending involves Gavin getting shot, then what about the final scene true scene. The student teacher is Gavin, correct?
If so, what is with the "Ward" on the chalkboard over his left shoulder when he turned around to face the class?
Scott D. Rodgers
Hun, that last scene probley wouldnt have been there if Gavin got shot\ if they used the alternate ending.
On the chalkboard it says "Go Forward" not "ward" but his head is covering it so I can understand what you mean.
oh, i thought he wrote "Mr. Edward"
shareLOL MR EDWARD :P your funny
shareso, they are going to make a sequel?
shareExtremely unlikely. This film failed to set the box office alight.
That said, quite a few movies that flopped in cinemas eventually make a profit due to cable and video rentals, leading to direct-to-video sequels. But if that was going to happen with Disturbing Behavior, it would have by now. Don't forget this film's nearly eight years old.
"I heard Nick Stahl say something about how he dies in almost every movie he's in, but the only reason he didn't in disturbing behavior was because they wanted to leave room for a sequel."
I thought all those movies came later. He doesn't really die that frequently, in fact, the only ones I can think of are: (SPOILERS for other Nick Stahl movies)
Bully, In the Bedroom, Wasted, and Sin City.
Number 1, I order you to go take a number 2.
Thanks for explaining the alternate ending! I was dying to know what happened. I like the ending they kept, though, because I wanted Gavin to live so badly. If he lived, there's always hope.
sharealso in the ending he says after he got shot his dreams of meeting trent reznik are diminished and he is finally coming around means that he turned good before he died
