Does anyone really know teens like these?

Sure there are some similarities in my friends, but I really don't know anyone like this, and I go to a school that has pot smokin hicks that has "straight" guy molesting other "straight" guy for fun, because they're cool. That's the only kinda teen I see in the world, that and really tacky clothes on punk poser people.

just so you know anybody who wears "punk" fashion is just a poser. punk is a state of mind everything else is just fashion. bong

The movie was made in the late 90s, but the scene actually reminded me more of an early 90s grunge setting.
So I'd have to say, yes, I knew kids "like that". I still, in fact, know them.

I'm in school right now and, although there are cultural differences between my school and the one in the movie, this teens are fairly accurate. 2-D, stupid, wannabes who fit into groups so easily.
it was how close the cafetiria scene reflected my own school that made this movie catch my attention.

Me too. When he was going through lising the different groups and such, I couldn't believe it. It sounded exactly like my first high school. I went to three, and the other two were not like that. First one was, the similarities were remarkable.

Theres no such thing as "punk" in general..state of mind or otherwise..it doesnt exist..theres no special grouping for anything..sry to tell you

and school as far as I know and everyone I know is nothing like this movie or how any of you described..theres no cliques...or groups other than after school clubs and sports team but even so theres no special circle of "cool" kids the only ppl who see it that way are the ones who have no friends because they are just not social and feel excluded..

reply

Way to knock people with no friends.

Holy crap, there are so many of the "straight" guys molesting other "straight" guys for fun, because they're cool" types at my school which you described. There's these two pals in my Government class that are always patting eachother's asses and laughing, as if it was amusing. It's happened to me a few times actually. I don't think dressing a certain way makes you a poser though. People generally just wear what they like. I wear some clothes that's considered gothic or punk but sometimes I wear preppy type clothes. I generally wear a lot of novelty tees though. From movies or whatever. My favorite is The Office Space shirt I have or the one that says Representin' the Streets and has the Sesame Street characters on it.

In all the schools I've been, people really are like that, except for the brainwashing-eye-implant-thing... Our cafeteria is kinda divided like that too.
