I thought there was going to be a sequel

after seeing the ending. Gavin would try to make a bunch of inner city kids become blue ribbons or something like that..

anybody else get the feeling?

Thats the idea of leaving the movie "open" to a sequel, that there at least on 'blue ribbon' left. I gues they just chose not to do a sequel

How much money did this movie made at the box office? That's probably the reason.

Ive read that they left open the option of making a sequel but i assume that because of things like possible low box office earnings and actors having previous engagements (i.e. Katie Holmes doing Dawsons Creek) they decided to scrap the idea...It does piss me off a little bit though because a sequel would have been very interesting and a must-see for me.

I thought, seeing as i'm an aspiring scriptwriter, that I would write a sequel in which a group of cheerleaders become "robots", what do you think about that? I thought of making this one a real horror/thriller in which the cheerleaders kill students. Or even make it that Gavin becomes the football coach and turns the players into "robots"

Hmm.. phwillemse, that would be nice.

And add in that he would be haunted by his "past" (before he went Blue Ribbon) a cause od his the chip malfunctioning.

I dont think there ever was a plan to make a sequal. The ending was just good.

I could still see one being done, but latter on. Give it time to add more people to it. Build it bigger and stronger. As much as I'm sick of pretty people in movies as the outcasts, I like the promise the movie has and would love to see something darker with more all around characters. All shapes and sizes and colors.

1; didn't do so well at the boxi office last I heard, and 2; it probably would've just been a rehash anyway.
