Did this movie play in theaters in the USA?

The reason I ask, is because no body I know knows about this movie. But me.

It played in theatres in the US but mostly just for one week. Critics tore into this movie gleefully and audiences stayed away.

yes, it did but not for very long it seems.

I know this because this was the 1st R-rated movie (I was 18) I got to see without a parent. Come to think of it, I went with 2 of my friends who were 17 at the time & I had to drag along my 14 year old sister with (I don't remember what for).
Maybe the cashier at the theatre thought the movie was PG-13. :p

How this got an R is beyond me. It was pretty tame. I saw it and thought it was PG-13!

It was in theaters in houston, tx for 3 weeks. Watched it with two of my friends who worked for one of the biggest theaters after hours. It was really cool and just the intro was incredibly creepy at 1 in the morning with only two other people in a massive theater.

Someone asked why it was rated R...I'm sure it was because of those sweet blue ribbon tata's we get to see and the major amount of swearing.

Plus things seem tamer now because an R in the 90's is PG13 now.

I caught it in the theaters when I was 16.

I saw it in July '98 on its opening weekend. The movie bombed, so it only lasted a few weeks in theaters.
