I remember the first time I saw Nick in this film I thought he was going to be the next big thing. He was wonderful, sharp, and witty in this role. You can tell that hes a charismatic dude, but his career just never took off.
Was he an underachiever with a drug problem or something? I seem to remember hearing something like that.
Well I do know the reason he doesn't have anything going on right now is because of drugs, he constantly goes missing and then reappears after a month long bender.

I saw him a few years ago at a SXSW film... It was sad. He was very skinny, disheveled and obviously drugged out. I thought he had talent too. Sorry the drugs took him.
shareIt makes me so sad to see how far Nick Stahl fallen. I loved him in this film and became a big fan. So much potential lost to drugs. It is so sad. I still list him as one of my favorite actors.
shareHe's been doing better for a while, has a kid and someone saw him looking ok with her and his mom at the airport not too long ago (plus he'd been to rehab). Drugs don't make him an underachiever, people just end up with different roles. He was amazing as Gavin, made me relate to and want to help him.
