Do you have a favorite US Civil War film?

Mine is Glory but this is a very close second

It's hard to pick one favorite, but "Ride with the Devil" and "Glory" certainly rank with the best of 'em. I'd also include "Grant" (2020), "Gods and Generals" (2003), "Cold Mountain" (2003), "The Horse Soldiers" (1959) and "The Outlaw Josey Wales" (1976). I realize a lot of people hate "Gods and Generals," but don't understand it; I much prefer it to the relatively dull "Gettysburg."

i have never heard of this movie. will have to check it out.

I hope you like it, it's told from the side of some young Southern soldiers and a lot of them are fairly sympathetic characters
