Remake of 'Kansas Raiders'?

Does anyone else think this was a remake of "Kansas Raiders"?

And, if you want my opinion of the two films, I am usually a golden movie era fan, but I gave "Kansas Raiders" a rating of 3 (the only Audie Murphy movie I rate lower is "Battle at Bloody Beach"), and I gave this movie a rating of "8". I'm a harsh grader. For me, "5" really means an average decent movie.

I would also say that I would give the older version a rating of R and this one a GP, because I think a viewer would have to be more mature to notice the messages and the horror of the situation of the older movie. This one, despite being more brutal in video, was easier to get the messages from.

I like the anti hero effect. The early sixties gave a few true anti heroes like "Hombre", men who were not exactly "right", but for whom we could understand a motivation, a method to their madness. They were credible. The seventies, the worst decade in film History, relished in the comical stereotype of an unmotivated anti hero, which was stupid beyond belief. Now, we are getting back to more believable characters.
