I loved it. Ang Lee's best film, and one of my favourite Westerns. Really good epic film!!!!

I agree. They didn't market this film at all. The studio just didn't put it out there enough

The studio was high on it until Matt Damon dropped out and was replaced by Skeet. Then they delayed the release for over a year.

But Skeet is a very good actor! Just look at his performance in The Magic of Ordinary Day.

Criminally under-rated and grotesquely neglected by the studio, this is one of Ang Lee's best.

But you ARE Blanche ... and I AM.

It's a beautiful, underappreciated (by most) movie. Easily the finest modern take on the Civil War. And I agree it's Lee's best as director. But it's not a western.
