You should see it because it's a great movie. One of the few films to really capture the chaos of the Western States during the civil war. It also avoids PC propaganda and keeps an objective stance concerning the issues involved. A wonderful historical document and a damned good western by a master director.
Jewel's part is very small, but she's actually quite good, incidently. If you are going to see it just to see her topless, you probably need a life, unless you get off on women breastfeeding.

lol, I forgot about her displaying of her "booby" (that is singular for "boobies", no?) I would think a woman of the era would have taken issue with a male - not her husband - watching her feed the baby. She was in the parlor afterall, and anyone could have popped in. A better place for a bit of salaciousness would have been in the bedroom scene between Jewel & Tobey.
Just a thought gents...
Landsturmann, you know your stuff and it is a delight to read it!

You are welcome!
I honestly think that Ride With The Devil upsets "The Yankee Agressors" (if I may)
It is one of the few films in which Southerners are shown with dignity.
I watched SNL the other week where they utterly trashed Southerners, with that girl from Friends. Why is it ok to stereotype us - make us a figure of ridicule?
Our flag has been desecrated & I could go on forever, but it is too upsetting...

>>As for the teatas, Jewell had a stand-in<<
Actually no. Jewel did not have a stand-in for that scene, however they were not hers, they were stunt-boobs (they had a prosthetic set made). Honest, I'm not kidding.
using "stung boobs" is just as astupid as a concept as using a body double just for a breastfeeing scene.
Namaste, and good luck.
"I honestly think that Ride With The Devil upsets "The Yankee Agressors" (if I may)"
You may not! (maybe the fools among us think so)
I'm a northerner, of black and white bearing, and I loved this movie. It seemed the first honest flic i've come across, especially with the one sided "into the west" on TNT lately.
I wouldn't call her part small. She was the lead female part. Yeah, she wasn't introduced for at least 45 minutes in, but she was a lead role for sure.
