This film raises a lot of questions.

Most of them concern how a film this bad got made in the first place. It cements Bruce Willis in the pantheon of major stars who cannot act in dramatic roles, and Annette Benning cannot carry the weight of her character's thoughts, dilemmas and conclusions.

That is not to mention the crunchingly bad dialogue. 'I am the law! Right here, right now! I AM THE LAW'.

Good grief.

"Go *beep* yourself, bureau! I am serving my country. Why don't you try serving yours?"

Really?!

That aside, it does raise other questions about what was in place to prevent a significant terrorist attack. Before 9/11 the service was aware of terrorist cells, how they are designed, separated and communicate. Tom Clancy wrote a book about terrorists flying a plane into congress (I think it was). It gives you pause: we rely on services like MI5 and the FBI to keep us safe, to preserve our way of life. Can they do that?

People keep saying nobody ever thought they'd hijack planes and fly them into buildings. I don't care how they attacked us.I just care that they attacked us when they shouldn't of been able to.

You want to play the game, you'd better know the rules, love.

They can't do it 100% of the time unfortunately. And then that introduces the debate of how much of our liberties are we willing to compromise for the sake of our security.
