...that this movie was amazing. It's not just one of my top fav Disney movies,, but one of my favorite movies. It's weird, but my mom loves it too and we both agree that it's not exactly a kids movie. There's more to this film than just a kids story. And I can't explain it. but seriously. I watched it again the other day and it's amazing...
shareI know!!! When I first saw it in theaters, I think I was all jaded or something because I thought it was so-so. Maybe I was under the influence of the movie critics ideas.
Today though, my sister and I were looking through the DVDs and suddenly had a strong urge to watch it.
GREAT CALL- I totally was into it!!! I mean it really is put down. The movie was.... untraditionally told (story arc wise I think...), but it actually told a story. I regret not apreciating it in theaters :(

I saw it again today on Disney and I agree that it's great and not exactly a kid's movie either. There's more messages there. And the way Mr. Arrow just kinda died-Scroop was evil, Silver and Jim had this father-son sort of bond--it was great! I also think that it was sad when Silver left at the end, but he had to in order to not get caught. And I think Jim was thinking, Better to have a father figure for a little while than to not have one at all. And I think they'll see each other again.

BLOODY INSANE! I was the EXACT same way!
I felt somehow jaded, uninterested, like, "Ho-hum! Can't believe this is 'just another' cartoon with lame plot and silly characters."
Then one day I was like, "Man! I'm in the mood for some animation!"
And I watched this.
And to this day, it is probably my favorite movie, animated or otherwise.
I love it, it and Atlantis are Disney's under-rated gems.
