So how old is Jim exactly?
I watched it last night on Disney Channel, and couldn't figure out how old he was. I'd guess like, between 16 and 18.
Thoughts?

i missed the beginning, saw a boy under a blanket reading and then '12 years later' so i figured 16-18.

Well 16 isn't to far off, I figured maybe 15 or 16 because his whole personality. He was trying to be better than he was so I just decided to go with 16

In the commentary, the directors said that Jim was 5 years old at the beginning and then 12 years later he was 15, but I think they made a mistake. See if he was 5 and then counting in 12 years in the future, he would of been 17 not 15, but I still believe that he's 15 they just made a little error mistake on the years and age a bit.

That makes no sense, heaps of kids can read before six, and some don't even start until they get to school.
