This is by far the best Disney Classic of the decade
And I mean classic animated feature, not CGI or Pixar. And ok,I know that there weren't a lot of them, since between "Home on the Range" (by far the WORST Disney Classic EVER) and "The Princess and the Frog",the department was "frozen",but anyway,it's the best. And here's why:
1) It doesn't have another cliche love story
2) It doesn't have cliche love songs
3) The 2 rock songs that it has are really cool, and so much different than the "Mariah Carey" stuff Disney used to use in the '90s.
4) It's the first Disney Classic film almost exclusively for boys (Mulan??? Bliahhh...)
5) It combines an all time classic pirate story with sci-fi elements
6) It combines classic animation with CGI in an awsome way
7) It's the first Disney Classic in space. Well,ok,ENTIRELY in space! (I almost forgot "Lilo and Stitch" released the same year!)
8) It didn't go well at the box office. Yes,that's a good thing, because it wasn't for the "masses",it was a special one,for the few.
