...needs to be more active. Come on, there aren't very many people I can talk to about Treasure Planet. Then again, all I'll probably talk about is what a great movie this is...

It's so true.. I'm still spreading the word about this awesome movie. Converted three people yesterday.

I know, it's sad. I'm always showing movies to my friends that they have never heard of, and I always assume they have.

I feel the same way. This is one of my personal favorites, along with Cats Don't Dance and The Great Mouse Detective. Impeccable, just impeccable. The 90's and early 2000's were really kind of a rennaissance for 2-dimensional animation, though very short lived. The new stuff is great, but it just doesnt stick with me for more than a week or two. I saw "Bolt" tonight, and loved it. But still, it's the sort of "Gee, Im really glad I saw this, it was great and I really enjoyed it!", rather than that, "Wow, this really stuck with me... it was engrossing! Im gonna play this when Im decorating my Christmas tree 7 years from now!".

In my book, the later traditional animations are legendary. I like Pixar stuff and all, I just havent had one really grab me that way yet. Disney is (you may know this, its quasi-old news) going to reopen their 2D animation studios for the co-existence of 2D and 3D animation (can you say, "awesome"?), and their first expected feature I believe, is The Frog Princess. It will though, more than likely be hindered by all the politics surrounding it, and will also probably, whether its good or bad, be poorly recieved for the same reason. Sorry to get off-topic, simply psyching myself up just then (Im hoping for the best ;D ). Oh, if anyone EVER wants to Private Message me to chat about ANYTHING that has to do with animation, feel absoloutely obligated to do so, especially if it has to do with this movie :P Buying this on DVD tomorrow, by the way. *feels soooooo guilty for not having it years ago* Watched my dvd of THe Secret of Nimh the other day, amazing animation. Tomorrow I can set Treasure planet on my movie rack along side it, where it should have been years ago.

This movie is brilliant... Good Lord, I love it. And once more, if anyone wants to contact me by a private message to talk about any animated movies, feel free. ;D Long live Treasure Planet!

I know exactly how you feel about animation. 3-D just hasn't stuck with me yet, even though it's always a good movie-going experience. I love watching animation, just seeing someone's talent and every detail that was hand drawn in 12 pictures per second. It's amazing and could imagine it to be very stressful. LOL I bought my second copy of TP a while back. The first one was all scratched up and that just wouldn't do. XD
