have this become a hit after pirates of the carrebean?

this came out in 2002,when pirate movies were totally dead.

then came pirates of the jack sparrow-movies and everyone started loving pirates again.

1.i wonder what have happened to this movie if it had come just a month after pirates movie.

2. i wonder if this movie has gotten a reinessance after the pirates movie...

That's interesting! I agree, maybe this movie would of done better.

Someone else posted that they think it should come out in 3D for a few weeks and I think they should of thought about releasing it in 3D right around the time of pirates of the Caribbean. That would of been awesome and I bet they would of made more money!
