The Opening makes no sense
The more you watch movies, the more you start thinking about what you have been shown, and more often than not, you can easily realize how things make no sense.
For example, Trinity is spying on Neo in the same building that Neo uses the escape at the end, right?
This building HAS a phone in every room, right?
Now, the Agents NEVER 'cut the hardline' of THIS building (for REASONS?!), so the escape should ALWAYS be available from these rooms. Furthermore, we've shown Trinity to be SUPER fast in escaping The Matrix, so it shouldn't matter if there are cops in the room or whatnot.
Now, put all these facts together, PLUS thinking how Trinity has _NO_AWARENESS_ that there are cops AND agents coming into the building, and NO ONE warns her, although there should always be an operator observing (or what good are the operators?) the people that are in that dangerous situation, right? RIGHT?
I mean, what about this whole thing makes any sense?
Trinity sits in a room that has an escape phone. Why not simply use THAT one before the cops break in?
Is it because Trinity doesn't KNOW the cops and agents, that are flashing lights and banging car doors loudly, are gathering outside? What? How? WHY would someone that tries to be sneaky and spy on someone, NOT install all kinds of alarm devices, cameras, observation equipment and so on? SHE HAS A COMPUTER, she can observe and spy on Neo, but not her immediate surroundings?! WHAT? WHY?
(Sidenote: Why are there no windows in the room, why select a room with no windows? Better for privacy, sure, but VERY bad for being able to observe sudden cops gathering outside)
How is Cypher even able to inform the agents without anyone noticing?
It's one thing to do this when everyone else is sleeping, but this is at a time when Trinity is plugged in and presumably someone is observing her, people are awake and doing their daily routines, walking about and all that.
When you think about it, how can anyone do anything sneaky in a ship where anyone could at any moment observe your activities, and when it's not only insane, but very difficult to travel into The Matrix by yourself, as operator and other people inserting the plugs and then unplugging you seem pretty necessary? How do you 'strap yourself' to the chair and THEN press some 'connect' button..?? So many questions (no wonder this all happens off screen)..
In any case, it makes no sense that Trinity would run all that way to a phone booth, when she has an escape phone RIGHT THERE, when she could use that computer to MONITOR HER surroundings exactly for this kind of eventuality, when she could STILL use the phone even though cops are in the room, when she SHOULD KNOW, even if just by intuition, that cops are coming, and she should be calling tank to get out of there, and so on and so forth.
Why is she even talking to Morpheus instead of tank anyway? She has the PERFECT opportunity to just say 'tank, get me out of here', and then use the phone, after she kills the cops. WHY would she do anything else, why would she be talking to Morpheus?
They did not cut the hardline, it's the same damn building Neo uses at the end of the movie, so the phone escape route should be always not only available, but someone like Trinity should be intelligent enough to not only observe her surroundings AND have the phone escape be available INSTANTLY at a second's notice, at any time she needs it.
WHY would she not make sure to prepare like this? Why? Would you do what she does in the movie, or would you do the appropriate preparations? There is literally NOTHING preventing her from doing all this, even if it means some kind of 'automatic return' when she picks up the phone, which doesn't even need an operator (how else would Cypher be able to do all that sneaky stuff by himself without anyone knowing?)... there's nothing in the movie to prevent any of what I suggest in this post, so either Trinity is INCREDIBLY stupid, or ...
..say it..
..THIS OPENING MAKES NO SENSE WHATSOEVER!
