i mean maybe once but thats it. i was really surprised when she said she loved him. they didn't confide in each other , they didn't even act like friends

shareWhile saying it was intentional might sound "banal", I really think that's what they were going for. First of all, seeing how their characters didn't show that much (if any) emotion in general, it seemed fitting that there was a lack of any real chemistry between them. Second of all, I believe the Oracle told Trinity she was basically going to know who the one was based on how she felt about him. So perhaps she didn't show her love towards Neo, but in the end she did feel it. And as for Neo, well, he seemed even less concerned with being in love, but that unquestionably changed in the sequels (for better or worse).
