Miss Riley

I dont know why Homer was going after that one girl when the perfectly hot Miss Riley was obviously coming on to him, I know its a movie and it most likely didnt happen in real life, but Miss Riley definitely had eyes for Homer (she was fiiiiiiiiiiiiiiinnne too)

She is an attractive woman but hooking up with your teacher is just...ew. She's such an amazing person, I cried when it said that she died at age 31. :(

reply

i guess it was not hip to screw your teacher in the 60s..though kirk Douglas claimed he did it in the thirties. i also suppose that MILF's were not invented yet.

Lawyer:You sir are a moron
Homer:A Mormon,but I'm from earth!

i still don't understand why she was in the hospital
though i did watch it on tv so maybe they cut out the part where it is explained
or maybe i'm just totally oblivious

She wasn´t coming on to him. You´re thinking very shallow.
She was impressed by his acheivements and drive. I think she admired him as a student and person. Nothing sexual.

well it must be the way they filmed it cause there were a few moments when i thought they were gonna kiss

reply

Really? I didn't think there was anything but teacher-student relationship between them.

Cool your hormones. There are adults that admire their student's abilities and smarts that they look upon them fondly, and vice versa. You don't necessarily have "the hots" for each other. Miss Riley knows the boys have the best chance of being her first students to avoid a planned-out life in the coal mines, and encourages their thirst for knowledge. I myself had a teacher who caught me drawing in their class. He took my notebook, but after class he called me into his office, to which he not only gave back my notebook, but gave me a copy of a book of collected comic strips to encourage my interest in what I was doing. He knew what he was teaching was not my cup of tea, but instead wanted to help my interest in illustration to grow.

I guess you've just never had anyone older than you genuinely express how proud they are of you. Either that, or you interpreted it as them "coming on" to you.
