Only because of the special effects. This was a Hard movie to watch.

Crappy acting? Crappy scripting, maybe (definitely), and plot holes big enough to drive a Mack truck through, but the acting was surprisingly good.
The younger actors -- Prinze, Burrows, and Lillard -- had veterans like David Warner, David Suchet, Tcheky Karyo, and Jürgen Prochnow to learn from and play off of. But I thought all of them did quite well with what they were given.
imm backing up Sarah on this, the acting was this movies one saving grace. Expecially Prochnow *swoon*. i think imma go watch Das Boot again.
shareIf you don't like the games the movie would make very little sense. One thing that did piss me off about the movie is it was trying to be Starship Troopers, Top Gun, StarWars, and Das Boot all at the same time. I hated the part where they were making everyone be quiet as if they were in a submarine, SOUND DOESN'T TRAVEL IN SPACE!
shareActually, sound does travel in space, it's just so low-pitched that you can't hear it (and would die if you tried). Space isn't a total vacuum, you know. Also, there could be some mechanism for creating sound in space in the Claw. After all, it doesn't do well not to hear stuff in space (and would be immensly boring, too for both audience and crew of Tiger's Claw).

ok,ok,we all know this movie wasnt ment for the emmys,but still,it did have a certain charm to it,and the acting was awesome for the lines.also,blair wasnt half hard to look at,lol.

First I gave it a 6. But after about 30 minute my stomach was desperately telling me "It's a 7" and you can always trust your stomach.
shareI agree. It had probably one of the worst endings ever. I don't even remember the movie (I literally forced myself to forget it) but my sister and I love to mock that whole bit that went-
"don't die on me now"

THis film was hard to watch for anyone whom is not a teen girl and obscessed with Matt Lillard or Freddie Prinze Jr. Notice how neither of them have their faces covered at any time, hell if the production team could have given them skimpy costumes while still nodding to the game, they would have. Just the special effects? come on this movie is god-awful, but it does have a "special effect" on teen girls from the U.S.
