Blair has got to follow is instincts, his genes. I would say "use the force"

Yeah, I would've liked the whole Pilgrim thing if they'd left the subplot in, but with all of the cut scenes, Pilgrims sound way too much like Jedis. I also find it somewhat annoying that in the games, Blair's just a really good pilot. In the movie, it was like they couldn't just say that he was a great pilot, they had to give some bullcrap reason for why he was so good.

THough I don't object to most of the movie, id does echo star wars, just as the original game did... part of what made it great. To a lesser extent one could say the movie was weakened by that association especialy being released so close to episode 1. However, it's not as bad as the original script. Gad, does that ever want to be star wars... Including paladin talking as if he's channeling obi-wan kenobi. I don't mind the pilgrim stuff but I do think they should have come up with a better plot device.

I hadn't thought about it this way but you're right! There are many character parallels:

Blair/Luke
Marshall/Han
Paladin/Obi-Wan
Pilgrims/Jedi

Either way, I enjoyed the movie.
