Cam here to say this.

Just finished watching it. It's become one of my favourite "bad" movies. There's enough there to be fun to watch, even if the leads are all terrible actors.

And, to be honest, who doesn't love to hear ship's captains say "GIVE THEM THE BROADSIDE!"

yeah, watched it when i was 9 and forgot all about it, watched it again today and it wasn't as bad as people are saying, easily a 7/10. the cinematography is good, the effects are good for it's time and it's a fun movie. Only downside is the actors are not great, the game had better actors(Mark Hamill, Malcolm Mcdowell, John Rys-davies) and the cat aliens were very *beep* looking, luckily we only see them on screen for like 30 seconds during the whole movie and when you do see them they are medium to long range with lots of smoke and light obscuring them. Apart from that it's not a bad movie at all.

I had this on my DVR for ages. Must have watched it over a dozen times and am now watching it again.

Yes, there are enough plot holes to fly a Squadron of Rapiers through (side by side and upside down), but dammit, it's fun to watch the chemistry between these actors. I love Matthew Liilard and Freddy Prince JR., they're awesome

Id give anything to see this updated by someone like Christopher Nolan, but he would have to use Prince and Lill are as CO and XO.
