shareThe OP is probably referring to the 2003/2004 remake, and yes there are many similarities, which is a good thing because WC actually did a lot of things right regarding space combat.
shareWell technically the original Battlestar came out in the 70's. But if your talking about New Battlestar, I don't know. I like the characters far more in Wing Commander Games more than any of the Character in New BSG.

I'd have to say the BSG fighter movement is probably stolen from Babylon 5. The space battles in Wing Commander suck, badly planned and badly edited despite some good ideas in terms of physics.
