These questions of the series and when I started losing interest.

Surprised I started losing interest in the series like around early 1992?

Also why did Shredder and KRang get taken off during Red Sky Seasons, as well as the channel 6 crew. Why did April leave Channel 6?

Of Baxter why didnt they have him revert to human?

For the ending, I Wish they had more than the TEchnodrome and Krang's body for the original bad guys.

What happened to Krang's body after Shredder Triumphant.

I'm not too sure about why the C6 crew were taken out but I'm pretty much guessing that April left because she was tired of Burne always blaming the Turtles for crimes they didn't commit, I haven't watched Season 8 a lot so I'm not 100% clear on it.

Of Baxter why didnt they have him revert to human?

I suppose like Bebop and Rocksteady he had cemented himself into the show as a mutant and the writers felt it wouldn't be the same if her reverted back to his normal human self, but nonetheless it would have been nice if he DID change back and found out that only Shredder and Krang were the ones responsible for him becoming a fly in the first place and renounced his evil ways and teamed up with the Turtles to fight Shredder, In fact seen as how his mind would no longer be like a fly's he would have a clearer recollection of being transported to Dimension X and flung into the disintegrator unit.

I'm more miffed that Bebop and Rocksteady disappeared after the Season 8 finale and were never seen or heard from ever again, but I suppose that after seven seasons of S&K being the main villains, they wanted a slight change of pace.

What happened to Krang's body after Shredder Triumphant.

This one was very probably due to a continuity error as the body disappeared in Season 8 and 10 but showed up, abandoned in the Technodrome in "Divide and Conquer" where Michaelangelo and Donatello needed it to fight a super powered Dregg.

1. April didn't leave, she was fired for continuing to support the Turtles after the Channel 6 building was destroyed. They just didn't ditch the Channel 6 crew, they ditched EVERY secondary character that had been introduced up to the point. The entire show changed in Season 8, I guess Shredder and Krang got the boot because after 8 seasons of being the primary villains they were getting old.

2. Maybe there were plans for it, but the sudden change in format for the show into the 'Red Sky' era probably nixed any future plans for Baxter.

3. It was stranded in Dimension X with the Technodrome. In the last season, the Turtles had to go to Dimension X to retrieve it (it had a special piece they needed) so they could defeat Lord Dregg once and for all.

are any of you surprised that I started losing interest in the series in early 1992?

reply

Not really. The CBS era episodes were watered down from what we were used to with the syndicated eps, with some pretty bad plots whenever Shredder & Krang weren't around. Seriously, ever episode without S&K were either about mobsters or mad scientists, something that got old after Season 4.

Yes I did start losing interest early 1992. is that when most people started? in 1993 it got moved to USA CARTOON EXPRESS. the last episode was in 1996, when I Was in 8th grade.

Does that sound right the hight of its popularity was when I was in first grade, teh school year season 3 came out with the most entertaining eps, great action figures, Burger King happy meal prizes and the movie.

Yes the ones with mobsters and or mad scientists were the solo eps. for Season 6 1992 one, that was A DULL SEASON!!!!!. SEason 7 1993 one was better. what do you mean watered down?

The one I have been obessed with was the navy guy shrinking military ships to get even with the naval academy remember that? THAT WAS SILLY!

1. Shredder had destroyed the Channel 6 HQ, so the C6 crew were superfluous at this point (except for April and maybe Irma).

2. The change was made to compete with Power Rangers, which was destroying TMNT and other action shows of the era - besides, Shredder had FINALLY done something competent for a change, so his purpose was finally served.

3. I have no idea.

4. It was left in Dimension X along with the Technodrome.
