what season do you think was the worst? and when was the starting point of the interest waning in the turtles? for me I Started to loose interest when we got to Spring 1992. I liked the show the MOST in the 1989-1990 season and in that season had the most episode, the movie, more toys, Burger King Toys etc, why do you think?
shareIn my opinion interest started to wane with Season 6. David Wise made great effort with Season 7 to bring back as many characters from previous seasons as possible in order to improve ratings but it didn't really work. The third movie which came out the same time didn't do that great either which forced a change of direction in the series. You can blame Batman The Animated Series for that.

for season 4 continty got mixed up too much I Felt. also season 5 was unique as it had more mutant stories. of season 4 having solo turtle eps w mad scientist and or crime bosses, it was refreshing rather than Shrewdder and Co finding some power source for the stranded Technodrome.

In Australia I only remember it every coming here in 1990 and they showed repeat after repeat catching up from 1987, 1991 was when it was obsession for me, but when the Simpsons came to Australia also in 1991 is when the turtles ratings took a dive and myself started to lose interest and go to the simpsons.
I remember they tried to fit about first season 6 episodes in 2 hours one night here in Australia and cut out lots of scenes, I had to recorded on VHS, it was never shown again here after that

Season 4 and I am including the European Vacation sideseason which takes place between the first and second episode of Season 4. Just not as many really good and really memorable episodes of the show. I think the show improved quite a bit once Season 7 hit and I think the Red Sky Seasons are great and are really underappreciated.
